Aloha my fellow readers. It is nice to meet all of you again on this fine Monday morning. The Sun is up and its a beautiful day might I add. So what will the great Haris talk about today. War. Famine. Some lame joke he has not thought about yet. Well my hordes of readers (by hordes I mean just you) I'm gonna talk about food and the lameness of this years Universiti Teknologi Petronas CONVO Fair. I mean seriously it was like blergghhh....

Okay, Lets begin shall we with food. No wait. Lets talk about the crappy Convo Fair. Why was it crappy? Simple. There was nothing there. Nothing. Nada. Zip. It just took me 10 mins to finish walking around. There was only a handful of food shops. A bank. A Proton Dealers. And a couple of clothes shop that sold muslimah clothes. No Petronas Motorsport show. No Loads of food joints. No Karangkraf. No camera shop. And only two artist that performed. One Nasyid group another some local artist i have no idea who. The only good thing about this years Convo is the discovery of one hell of an awesome burger joint in Perak. It is none other than Nice Burger.

Firstly, this burger joint is a franchise whereby they have about 20 outlets around Perak. The one that came to this years Convo is located at Kg. Khatan which is on the way to Sg. Siput. Honestly, I have never heard of this village. I actually had to Google Map it. So getting back to the burger joint. They have a whole range on their menu which includes venison, rabbit, oblong burgers, hot dogs and benjos. Personally, its the only reason i went to the Convo Fair once each day throughout the weekend (that and a friend of mine was cooking some awesome fried mushrooms) .

So on the last day I wanted to try out the rabbit burger. I went to the burger joint with my partner in crime Mr. Haikal "Style" Nordin. I ordered a Cheese Rabbit Special burger which priced at RM5.50 (which just means i had egg with the burger) while Mr. Style had Burger Kahwin priced at RM3.30 which is a double burger with beef and chicken. For the readers information, I had that burger two days in a row. It was goooood......

If you did not understand to which burger I was referring to. Sadly both. For a guy who once took care a lovable white rabbit that was named HAT, rabbit tasted good. I was curious actually on how it tasted. Okay. A little bit about the burger beside the patty, they actually make awesome condiments. Sadly its loaded with onions (by sadly i was referring to anyone who hates onions. Yours truly loves them) . Well, I have nothing much to say actually to add to that. I know there are awesomer burger joints out there. A handful of them are in Kuala Lumpur. But at least i know a shop in Ipoh that can supply me some epic comfort food. Even though the trip to go find it will cost 4x more than the burger. Well until next time, TTFN.

P.s Hopefully my next entry will be with regards to the Nice Guy cover. I've almost gotten the hang of it. And to anyone who i might have offended in eating a rabbit burger. :-(

Fast Five and the song stuck in my head...

It's been awhile since I wrote anything for my blog. Normally I would write gibberish or something emo. other times I write about my day. But a few times, a handful of times I write about a movie or a song. Today I'm gonna write about both. Firstly the movie. One word. AWESOME. I am totally impressed and blown away by the story. Compared to the early four movies of the series, this one knocks the rest out of the park. I mean literally.

Story wise is simple. They need a final score to get out of running, and they decide to chase the guy who runs Rio. In the process the FBI sends their best man to hunt our heroes Walker and Toretto. Comments on the plot would be that I wish there were more twist. It is a simple story to understand which makes it enjoyable with all the cars and explosion as well as hot babes. Especially Gal Gabot in a bikini. *whistle blows* Yeah. Yeah I'm still a guy after all. Beside the babe's the cars aren't all bad. But sadly I did not remember the cars use for the big chase and by the cops. But there was a Ford GT, a Lexus LFA and a Nissan GTR. I'm still not a fan of Muscle cars. So Overall I give it a 8/10. It just lacks the small piece of surprises that I would have love.

Now, about the song that it's in my head. At the end of the movie there's a song thats played in the background just before the credits. It was actually a hit last year. It's called "Danza Kuduro" by Don Omar and Lucenzo. It's just a song that just wants to make dance. It really does. If you dont believe me here's the song. Enjoy. It's the weekend. And... I... have to run 21km later this evening.... sighs... Honestly. I have a bad feeling about this. Other than that I don't have anything else planned except for meeting my bestie, Ainin and Naim tomorrow. God, I need more friends... Well actually I have a word or two to share with you. It's about control. Self-control to be more exact.

Life will always throw shit at you. Everything from heartbreaks to a shitty 8-5 job. An your emotion will always, always try to get the better of you. In life it is the one who is able to control his emotion that will be the victor. For in truth it takes a whole lot of mental strength to overcome your anger, your sadness and your depression. It is focus that makes you able say "Go F*** yourself you stupid emotion." But how do you control of yourself. Emotion's consume you. It eats your very soul. Slowly consumes you. It is a darkness that you have to fight. You just have to fight cause if it wins it's over. There will be no light to guide you. There is no one to save you once you go down that path. You need to realize this. That the people around you are just hope. But you are the warrior. You are the man fighting in the ditch. You have a destiny to overcome your troubles. Fate has a funny way of showing our purpose in life.

I actually haven't said anything about controlling. You only have to stay focus. You only have to stay strong and believe yourself. But most of all, you have to have an outlet. Channel it. Let it out. Everybody has a tolerance level. You can hold the line long enough but sooner or later you have to go to charge the enemy. Everything crumbles under pressure in the end. Even diamonds. I know how it feels, it feels like crap. But never let your fighting spirit down. Keep fighting. Cause in the end, no matter what everything will fall into place. It has to right???

Good news. The weekend is insight. Can you see on the horizon. It is just 2 days away now. One more working day tomorrow. And WOHOO!!! Celebration time come on... Well... Not entirely celebration time. Why I hear you ask? Simple I have a marathon to run on Saturday. And I'm kinda nervous about it. Actually very nervous about it. On the upside, when I do finish it, I would have cancelled two items of the 100 things to do before I die list and I would cancel 1 of the 5 new years resolution items. Thats good right. :)

But honestly, I need to get in the game. You know? Have the mindset. Focus. Belief in urself. Its gonna be tough but nothing is ever easy. The race itself will be a metaphor for me. It will have its own meaining. And mark my words. I would do whatever it takes to finish it. Giving up was never an option.

On a brighter note, PIKOM PC Fair is around the corner and I seriously want to go and get a new awesome mouse. But Budget constraints as well as a limited edition Dragon Age II Deathadder is coming out soon and I really want to get that one, so I'll wait. Will definietely be going to get two new thumbdrives. One 4 gb and one 16 gb. Hopefully both will be less than RM100. To be honest, i'm just writing up what i'm gonna do for the weekend, but I actually want to write about how I feel. Sadly a part of me tell's me its a bad idea. And I actually dont think I should. I'm a man. We are arrogant and egotistical and nothing can actually bring us down. Not a broken nose or even a broken heart. To all you girls out there here's some inside news. No matter how messed up a guy is a part of him will keep telling that its all gonna fall into place. We just dont realize that yet. And probably never will. Sighs... Yes yes... I know. All men are idiots. Including your's truly.

A lot has happened since my last entry. 4 months of practical training. My birthday. My younger brother's birthday. My dad's birthday. Valentines Day. Haris's Day (nothing to do whatsover to my birthday). And a lot has happen here on my blog. Not from a visual perspective but nonetheless some improvements. I have some additional followers. That is awesome. Even Elle is following me. Hi Elle! And the number of people who have viewed this blog is reaching 4000. Thats kinda of an improvement. Thank you to everyone who has come to this blog eventhough I have not written in it for about 3 months. Thank you.

Okay. I'll give a brief reason why I didn't write the pass few months. Simple. Nothing to write about. Well not entirely true. Could have written about Haris's day (FYI its a day I set up after Valentine's Day to celebrate pass and present Military geniuses) as well as the MGMT concert that I went to last month. That was epic if i might say so. FYI they are a psycadalic rock band. Loving their song Elecetric Feel, Kids and Congratulation. Thank Sarah Izzi for draging me there. I might also go to Maroon 5. Depending if i'm still invited or not. I'll post one of my favorite songs from their new album at the bottom of this entry. And there is the story of finally finding where Ampang Lookout Point is. Sadly I dont have any pictures to post on this blog. Maybe next time I will.

Well, now i'm back and i'm gonna tell you why. This is my favorite form of outlet. I love talking about nonesense and love it even more when I'm not judged. I am afraid of telling how i feel to the world due to the fact that i dont want things to go south. I enjoy having friends I care about and those who care for me. But I know that if i'm to self involved i'll push them away one by one. Fear is not good it prevents us from doing great things. But I am consumed by it more than I am by anger or sadness. I am lost like most of you are. We all need to find our centre. And to those who have make sure you take care of it. Dont lose it. For you are the lucky few who gets a happy ending. Not all of us are going to experience that. I know I know. I'm going all soft again Like i usually do. But for some strange reason as I write this. I am content. Sad but not depress. There is a part of me that tells me it's gonna be okay. Its not the part that tells me to fight. Or the part that tells me that i'm a failure. For some strange reason. I believe that i'll be fine. Eventhough I know I wont find love anymore. I knw sad right? Its not. I got what I wanted in the end. She's happy. And I believe i am for her. Okay enough of this sob sad stuff. Anger and Fear...

A weird entry to start this year with. I could have start with my new years resolution. Talked about my hopes and dreams. Talk about how disappointed I was not reaching the 100 mark for the year 2010. I could have talked about the sad and depressing Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show which had a lousy Batmobile but an awesome Bumblebee. But for some divine reason, my heart tells me to write about my feelings. My feelings of anger and hate.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said "For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty minutes of happiness." He's right. But there is always a reason for being angry. For some jealousy, vengeance and etc. . Anger is part of being human. It is an emotion necessary for us to move on. To keep moving forward. A fire that is necessary but at to what cost. At to what cost.

For the past few days i have been furious. Down right angry. Angry at my friends. Angry at my family. Angry at myself. And yet i can not express it. Why? Because I'm afraid. Afraid of losing friends. Afraid about making other people angry. Afraid of starting a fire I can not put out. I look in the mirror and I am disgusted at what I see. A weak pathetic sad excuse for a human being and friend. A man clouded by fears and insecurity. I hear you asking the question dear reader. Is this a man crying for help. It's not. It is a man writing his thoughts at the one outlet he knows where there will be no rebuttals. This is a man telling the world that he win over his battle over anger. Aloha to my fellow readers. We gather here today to talk behind Internships back. An internship which I have already started to to dislike. A internship which is giving me a taste of the working world out there. I have a feeling that it will be a very very long 8 months from here. Sighs... But life goes on. You gotta to do what you gotta do. For that stupid A well all so desperately want and need. Like all human beings sent down on this earth we must strive to be among the top. And we realize that sometimes doing our best is not enough. Okay okay. I have no idea where this is heading to so I'm gonna stop here.

Continuing on, let's talk a bit about my first week of internship. Firstly, I AM SO OVER THE MOON THAT TODAY IS SATURDAY. you have no idea how happy I am that the weekend is here. The weekend is finally here. Waking up late. Sleeping late. And Internet.Oh my internet. Oh how I miss you. I miss browsing. Reading comics. And it's only been a week. One very long week. Besides that, I did attend a meeting with some GE Oil and Gas representatives. That was an interesting if not considerably blurring meeting. I was happy that I was invited to it but then I realized how long my weekly report could be. One the current interns did her weekly report to be 37 pages. 37 pages for a weekly report. That's just outrages. And now I have to submit my first weekly report next week. I'll probably start later tonight. God knows I have to start it ASAP. I only received a few tasks. Mostly having to fiddle with Excel and thats about it. There will be a few field trips through out the Internship Training Period. That is something to look forward to I believe. But other than that, It's really gonna be a long long 8 months. Thankfully I have my friends and soon enough I'll get my driving privileges. So until my next entry peeps, TTFN.

First day of intern and already I'm out and about...

So it has begun. My first day of internship was emm.... interesting to say the least. I say interesting for a few reasons as a matter of fact. I was actually very excited. Very excited. I mean it's like going down memory lane when we were young and it was the first day of school. we had no idea what we were gonna face. But it was new. It was fresh. It was something different was it not. But like school, after awhile we realize we are actually going down a deep dark repetitive road. Currently have not reached there yet, thankfully.

Okay okay, enough ranting about how i felt. Back to my first day. Firstly I arrived early. very early in fact, that the counter was not open yet. So waited. When it was opened, gave my name and their ask me to wait for someone to pick me up. I was the last one to go up and I had to wait for an hour before some colleagues of mine (or people who are currently interning at the same place) came down to show me the ropes. First we had a short ice breaking session with our boss. 45 mins of introducing one another. Followed by one hour of idleness. In the end all we had to do for the day was read a few reading materials. An I had to do an errand run due to the fact i technically know KLCC like the back of my hand. At least I got my security pass done as well as found out there is a gym at my building and it's FREE. Sorry Haikal.

Today is actually a public holiday. So a lot of people are getting some early RNR before this long long 8 months of working comes by. I went to Midvalley megamall with a close friend of mine, Shanny. Sadly there are no pictures due to the fact I am not the type to take any. We enjoyed or battled through the movie of Russle Crowe titled "In the next 3 days." Honestly just wait for it to come out on HBO or Star Movies. Or better yet go rent either Shawshank Redemption or Prison Break. It is a good drama movie. But sadly, i am not a fan of purely drama movies for that is what it is. I even made a comparison of Harry Potter part 1 with this movie. If you want to have a good time go watch Rapunzel. That's worth every cent you pay at these overpriced cineplexes.

Continuing on, besides watching a movie, I went to one of my favorite shops COMIC MART and indulgently bought a booster pack which I ended up a getting a useless wurm (a card that little value and technically useless). But on the bright side, there is this awesome place opposite of COMIC MART. It's a laser tag arena. I mean they do have laser tag here in Malaysia. I so wanted to go in but Shanny said it was weird kicking a bunch of kids arses. I mean Barney does it, why can't we. She said we can go next weekend. WOHOO!!! One thing I'm excited about KL is the food. Hopefully I can try a few new places. Already a member of FruitWorks. Life here is gonna be an interesting ride. Hopefully interning will also be. Tomorrow is a new day right?? So until my next post. TTFN.

It's finally over. My 3rd year 1st semester is finally over. For your information, this is my 200th post in my blog. It is a milestone and I wanted to write something classy. Something meaningful. What could be more meaningful than writing about my dearest friends and a beginning of a new chapter in our lives. I am still dumb found on that I will doing my internship this Monday. I am still astonished that Three and a half years has passed since I first stepped foot in this University. To be honest, I am afraid. Afraid what tomorrow can bring. What can happen tomorrow? For nothing is certain. Nothing ever is.

The above pics are those of my closest friends. My dearest friends who have help me through the hard times and the dull time. It was a journey or year filled with both joy and sadness. But no matter what we still had fun. Tons of it. I even picked up the guitar and can now play a few tabs songs and a chord songs. In the immortal words of Jim Carrey,"I Got blisters on my fingers." But honestly we did have fun. I hope we have tons more in the during our internship. Food. Birthdays. Parties. The whole nine yards (or was it ten). I am grateful for having them. They are my real friends. And so is her.

I can write a lot more if i wanted to, but i choose not. I believe I've turned into a harder man. This topic is kinda a mushy sensitive topic. For some strange reason I feel kinda weird writing this. Maybe it's just one of those days. Well, the last month of the year is upon us. Let's make the best of it. Because according to some ancient extinct civilization we only have 2 years before it's the end of the world. To my dearest friends, I love you guys. I shall forever curse this subject that existed in to course emotional stress and suicidal intent in those who dare take this subject. Well actually forced to take. I HATE THIS STUPID SUBJECT!!!

I'm actually suppose to be studying be not a single piece of data or thing is in my head. It's blank. It's like a canvas. An empty canvas. I am totally gonna screw this paper up. HELP ME!!!

In less than 14 hours I would be taking my third paper of my finals. Am I ready?? Honestly I have no idea. I think I am. I believe I am but life tends to throw you curve balls you just don't see coming. Swing and a miss folks. Swing and a miss. But at the end of it we should have our head held and start working on RM&S afterwards. Wish me luck peeps. Will be needing a lot of it. On with more pressing matters, I would like to talk about the word "IF."

IF ONLY. Six letters. Two word. But it is a word of power. A word of regret. A word of self pity. A word that effects echoes through history. I would like to take an extract from a book I am reading, Morningstar by David Gemmell. It goes something like this:-

"I have discovered in my long life that there are many words and phrases which have more power than any spell of magick. The most well-known of these is, of course, I love you. But by far the most deadly is, if only.

For these two words can strip a man's strength, his courage and his confidence. They become the father of regret and anguish and pain. That piece of extract tells it all. Men a re filled with regret. We ask if we could turn back time Do it all over again. But it is these lessons learnt through hardship and failure that makes us better prepare for tomorrow. It also reminds us that we are human. That there are things we can not control. It may look like that fate is cruel and unfair. The truth of the matter is, it is. We must walk the road anyway. We must live. We must not let regret and the words "If only," haunt us and prevent us from moving forward. I myself am trying to learn this. Probably a lesson that is difficult to learn but worth remembering for life. I blame myself for a lot of things that I have done. But no matter how much I wish, nothings ever gonna change the pass. What is done is done. Have faith that all will be revealed. Well i better get some rest for my paper today. Hopefully you learn something from today's blog. Until next entry, TTFN.

Aloha my beloved readers. It's been a great few days. I'm actually pushing myself a bit further than I normally do. And honestly I will go the distance. You mark my words peeps. Beside's working hard for my finals, on other fronts I have officially gotten my internship just have not gotten my letter yet. I seriously hope that I get it before my last paper. And if you have not notice yet, I am excited about internship. No Uni for 10 months. BOOYAH!!!

On to more pressing matters, today's entry is my view on being a man. It is actually a famous line created by Russel Peters but it was more with a Chinese accent that goes like this, "BE A MAN!" Hilarious stuff. Youtube it if you haven't seen him already. Now back to my topic. Earlier this morning my two best friends talk about guys in general. And it is sad to say I did not defend my own gender. Hey, don't get all high mighty by calling me a loser. They were kinda right. We are emotionally insecure and we have huge, gigantic and humongous ego. I mean like big. In the immortal words of an African - American lieutenant in Top Gun, " Your ego write checks that your body can't cash." That has nothing to do with anything, it just sounded awesome at the moment.

Well, a man should be a lot of things. He should be strong. A hero. A legend. But if not to the world or to society at least to one girl (or woman) who works hard to make you feel like one or views you as one. We honestly think by keeping it inside and not sharing stuff makes a strong. Being around other men and talking about feelings is not cool. We just don't want to be looked down by our so called friends. In our defense we were never actually thought by our dads to be open. We don't like sharing with the same gender. But when we share with you when we open up and show you guys our insecurity, it means we trust you. A gift that we rarely bestow to other people. So be happy that we open up. We let our shields down to you know.

Honestly, I am not talking about what a man should be but what he is. Well beside being awesome and Legendary, we should be chivalrous, decisive and head strong. We should be strong and caring. Accept our feelings of insecurity and learn to understand the feelings of those around us. Understand our egos are just an illusion like fear. I know I know. I'm not suppose to use the library stuff for personal usage, but I just can't help it.I need to write.I need to blog people. But at the moment I am regretting to type using this PC. The keyboard here sucks.My Razer Lycosa is far far far awesomer (I know the word doesnt exist lah. But it's my blog I can write whatever I want on it right??) So any how, I just finish my second paper.It was quite tougher than the previous papers that I have done maybe it's due to the fact that I had reference and some teacher like help but that's not important.What is important is that what is done is done.Now, all I need to do is keep moving forward. My next paper is on Wednesday, an open book Finals, Well Test Analysis. Wish me luck peeps. :-)

Continuing on, what I would like to discuss with all of you is one of my personal favorite book written by the late David Gemmell. I once wrote an entry about him not to long ago. Well it may have been long time. I can't remember. I have STML (Short Term Memory Loss-courtesy from Thanu. She said SMS is noob. huhu~~ )The book is callled Morningstar. It actually has a close place in my heart. Why you ask?? Simple it is just another view to look at heroes. We all have them. Some may be dead.Some may still be roaming this earth. They are part of who we become.

The view of the protagonist is taken by his close friend, a bard by the name of Owen Odell. He tells people what they want to hear but the truth only to the reader. The hero in fact is a villain in his own way. He originally looks out for himself and loves money. But circumstances are thrust upon him which requires him to be a hero. This is the type of concept David Gemmell insert in his book. It is a simple theme that everyone is human and everyone has flaws. But if the chance or the opportunity emerges, they will shine. They will become strong. They end up being Heroes and Legends. In the end it is books like these that give us commoners hope. Hope that one day that time will come for us to show our true colors. Our true nature. It will be a time to rejoice. Before i end today's entry, I would like to talk about something out of topic. What a real friend is? To me, they are those who try to help you up when you fall. But if they cant, they'll just come on down to sit beside you until your ready to get up. With that thank you and good night.

Well I felt like writing something today. On the eve of my second paper which I will have to face in less than 15 hours. give or take. My first paper was not so bad. It was okay to say the least. But honest to God, 80 mcq question is a hell lot. I mean thinking of answering 80 mcq is like FOREVER. Oh well, what is done is done. I'm praying that it went well. Now I need to focus on tomorrows paper. Engineering Economy and Entrepreneurship will be a slight breeze in a a storm.

That's on the exam front. On a personal front.I lost a wager on one of my BFFG. It was a simple bet. She can not wake up early. And Boy was I wrong. She woke up at 7.30pm and texted me at 7.55pm just to gloat. Sighs... Well I had to hear about it for awhile and thanks to breakfast she stop. She even used the music from "Lucky" by Jason Mraz to sing about her Victory. Be happy friend. Be happy friend for my time will come when I emmm... win something. :-S

Studying has been fun for the past 24 hours. I did a lot of past year papers. And I was able to clear a few uncertainties that I was had lingering in the back of my head. I believe I am ready for tomorrow's paper. I will then have to face three more papers. Already have the past year papers and I believe I am on a roll. BooYAH!! End of Study Week, beginning of Exam Week...

Officially, study week ended yesterday. But my first paper is on the 19th of November. On a Friday and after Friday prayers. Sighs... My head registers that as my official nap time period. Crap right? Than I have a paper on Sunday. SUNDAY!!!. They gave a F***ing paper on a Sunday. I mean WTH!!! I know I know, they are trying to compact everything together. But still on a Sunday. Life goes on. My last paper is on the 1st of December and then I'm off to KL. I'm currently waiting my confirmation letter from GSCM/PETH at KLCC. Internship will be awesome. Work. More work. And then Play. :-)

Well, to be honest, I don't want to write about studying and examination. I'm afraid to talk about it. I was reading some of the blogs I follow. My close friend wrote about love. She said about how it consumes us when we are overwhelmed by it and yet it is beautiful. She's right. It is both ugly and ugly at the same time. I wanted to write about love again but I already did here. It is in fact one of my favorite articles I've written. It made me realizes that it is hideous but in the end it is worth it, It is worth the pain and heartache. Okay okay. Enough of this mushy stuff. On to a more pressing issues.

I....emmm.... have.... nothing much to say actually. I am suppose to be studying at the moment. But I choose to write this entry instead. I really would have liked to talk about heroism or about feeling and emotions. Wait i can write about that. Emotions. At the moment partially sad. A little advise from me. Today's a simple entry. Nothing Fancy or elaborate. Just a simple entry about this weeks Naruto release manga. It is awesome at the moment I believe. The important climax that will determine the fate of the Ninja world has been reached. Akatsuki as devious as they are, will be using the dead to fight their battles. From former Kage's to even fallen warriors. It will be a fight to remember. What is important about this chapter is that it has a speech of the Commander of the Ninja army. Gaara-sama himself talks to the his army after splitting a fight between two shinobis from different villages. Well without further to do here it is, Gaara's speech:-

Another boredom entry. Seriously I am bored. I mean really bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Still bored. Sighs... Even though I have a few series episodes. 2 movies. And I believe I still have to study for my finals. A lot to do and can be done but honestly I just want to get out of here. i mean go. disappear. Have a burger at McD or Nasi lemak at Oldtown. Even though I do have a friends car at my disposal. I just know that it is not the wisest decision I can make. So here I am stuck in this room with you my fellow reader reading this.

Well I have done a few things I set out to do. I am currently learning Jumper by Third Eye Blind. Not the Tab version the chord version. It starting to sound like a song. I cant wait to get it down. I have also done my study timetable. It's gonna be awesome. This is my semester. MY SEMESTER YOU HEAR. HAHAHA... Sadly I have not done my Japanese training. My target is to take lesson 1 and 2 before I sleep tonight. Wish me luck peeps.

I am depress that I have not gotten an internship. i know I am not alone. But still. Having a low CGPA probably is my biggest regret in this Uni. But like Walt Disney said, " Keep Moving Forward." Because that is all you can do right?? Oh well, I'm gonna finish of the movie I am currently watching now," EAT,PRAY,LOVE" and then listen to Japanese and then I'm off to dream world. That's it my fellow readers. No more classer to the semester. No more lectures. No more assignments and test. No more skipping classes.It's all over. It has been an emotional ride. And I hope to end it with a positive attitude. Wish me luck. I am a long way from my goal to reach 100 blog entries by the end of the year. By the looks of it i might just be short. Honestly, I am just blabbering nonsense here. I am definitely not making any sense at the moment. Just wanting to write something on my blog to pass the time with.

So what to talk about actually. Emmm... No idea what to talk about. My weekend. Not that interesting. Sending people and picking them up. Probably gonna cook a few things. Play squash with one of my bffg. Prepare my study timetable. Play guitar as well as learn Japanese. I think thats about it. It's gonna be pretty quiet. Sad to say the least. Sighs...

Well I could share with you a classic song from my teenage years. I was in a discussion with my close friends about songs from our High school days. We compared how cool N'sync was when they came in and left. How the BackstreetBoys grew up from being teenagers to being man. There was once even a joke that people ask when are they going to change their name to BackstreetMan. Continuing on, some of the boy bands I like were 5ive and A1. They have not heard of them. I was like WHAT!!! They have not heard or remembered these bands. They were my first two cassette tapes that I bought for my walkman back in 2002. They were awesome. 5ive had the hit song titled Keep on Moving where the video clip is below. A1 had some pretty cool songs also. No more, Same old Brand new you, Everytime, and Like a Rose. Life Goes On (again) ...

There is a saying, "Life is easy, it's just not simple." It is sooooo true. Life is not hard. It is not as complicated society makes us believe. Not as difficult as the Mass Media wants us to think it is. Not as ugly and hideous that most of us think it is. Each and everyone of us is significant in our own way. Sadly, a lot of us including yours truly do not believe that. I am drowning in my own self-pity and self-loathe that I could not see the brighter things I have.

There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. We are just sometimes to afraid to open our eyes and look. Some of us have seen the darkness for two long. We are so used to seeing despair, sadness and failure. We just end up in "quicksand" and get totally suck in to it. We panic for we think and believe that that is the end. Once your in. You will never get out. You hope. You pray that someone, somewhere out there can hear you scream for help. If your lucky someone does.

And thankfully, i am one those lucky few. To move 5 steps forward, sometimes you have to take 2 steps back. And sometimes you have to let someone show you the light. Putting your thoughts on issues that are negative and disruptive are actually a waste of time. You can never undo the past. What's done is done and in the immortal words of Walt Disney, "Keep Moving Forward." Our mistakes are the one that defines our character. Each mistakes makes us either a better or a worse human being. It actually is what we need to go through to be all we can be.

Life, in one word is a JOURNEY. It is both depressing and interesting. Filled with both joy and sadness. It is both a journey alone and with friends. No matter what happens to you or them, LIFE GOES ON. It's sad isn't it. But as long as find new things and a good company to keep you occupied it wont be that bad. To each of us life is something different. Human life is purely a matter of deciding what's important to you. To me personally it's just to live for those that matter with honor, duty and courage. So if your sad and you think your alone. Cheer up. Just scream until your lungs burst. And I know someone out there will hear you. Be it strangers or a friend. In the end life is just something everyone goes through. Keep on living.

Today's blog entry is about music. I haven't talked about my favorite singer and songwriter.The one and only Taylor Swift. She is just pure awesomeness. I dare you to say something bad. I dare you. Hahaha... See no one can say anything bad about her can you. Hopefully she ends up like another Celion Dion or Barbara Strainsend. Not a Britney Spear.

Well today I want to talk about her new album. And no I have not yet purchased this album. And in due time I hope I will. But I have listened to four of the new songs. Mine. Mean. Back to December. And Speak Now. From these songs I believe the album is gonna be pretty good. Mine is a sweet song about what her life could be. It's about a girl getting the right guy. Mean is a cute song. The last part is just hilarious. "Your a liar. Pathetic. Mean." The album titled song, Speak Now, has to be my personal favorite. It's simply a song about a girl speaking up during a wedding.It really is a cute song. I know what your thinking. First he writes about quicksand, now he's writing about anger. A few weeks ago he was writing about fear. A few months ago he was writing about something about a phoenix. What is up with this dude I hear you ask? Well, sorry to burst your helium balloon into a gazillion pieces. It is my blog and I can write whatever i choose to write. So you may press the "next blog" button on top if you are annoyed or just continue reading like any insane human being.

Let us begin. Anger. Everyone gets angry. Everyone gets pissed. It part as being human is it not. But the unique thing is how we deal with it. Do we lash it out on people or do we keep it inside. Our community tends to believe that out is in or some sought gibberish. We don't outwardly say how we feel for fear of repercussion. We believe that it is the safer option.Unlike the Americans, conflict and openness are necessary. To build solid relationship that last. For that is the only way friendship last a lifetime.

Believe it or not. Anger can be categorized into two forms.Passive anger and aggressive anger. Some examples of passive anger are secretive behavior, self-blaming, self-sacrifice, obsessiveness and also including evasiveness. Some representation of Aggressive anger are as follow threats, unjust blaming, hurtfulness, bullying, destructiveness and manic behavior. At this moment it is clearly seen that I have passive anger. And a lot of it cause in the end I can't hurt others. Thats just not me.

Controlling anger is something we all need to learn. It is believed that suppressing anger is unhealthy and harmful. Anger needs an outlet. If not it will turn on itself. There a lot of simple ways to control anger. Listening to soothing music. Exercising. Therapists. Talking to a good friend. But there are also ways psychologist believe that you can cope with anger. For example being Direct. Don't beat around the bush. Don't use body language. Honorable. Tell that you have a reason for being angry. That it is not just an outburst. Forgiveness. Listen to people of their anger. Let them be heard and understood. Last but not least, Focused. Don't go bringing up irrelevant topics.

I still have a lot to learn with dealing my anger. Hopefully in time I'll be stronger than I am now. Hopefully this article will help you deal with your anger. So until next time folks, TTFN.

Quicksand...

It's been a while since I last wrote on this blog. Well, I have been busy with a lot of things. Like test, assignment and personal issues. Honestly life is a bitch. A tall, slender 6 feet Eurassian with long silky black hair and an attitude problem who just loves messing up your life. If you disagree with this description please feel free to comment at my comment section at the end of this post. Today, i'm not gonna talk about this fair skinned she-devil, today I would like to talk about quicksand. No not the one people die in. I'll explain in detail below.

I hear you asking me what type of quicksand are am I referring to?? Well, imagine this. Your playing squash and everything is going fine. Your serves are where they are suppose to go. Your drops are untouchable. Your straight drives are unreachable. Suddenly you trip and fell. You thought it was nothing. So you shrugged it off. And take your stance. Then you missed a simple volley. After that your drops stop hitting their mark. Your confidence start to disappear. You cant serve. You cant hit. Then you realize your in to deep in despair that it gets harder to breath. And it feels like you cant get. You try to scream but nobody hears you. That my friends is quicksand.

It's actually a state of mind. A very terrible state of mind to be in. Believe me. Despair is not a men's best friend. Lost of confidence is as an awful feeling to posses. In life we must all go through the metamorphosis from being a child to being an adult. We need to define who we are to the world. To our family. To our friend. We need to measure ourselves in our own eyes. Thus we need to battle our inner self. Our dark side. Our Pessimist side. The outcome will determine what side you would end up on. It will also tell you how strong you will become. As human being and as a member of this community. No matter how deep you are, always remember that there is always a faint sign of hope somewhere. you just have to know how to look for it, for it almost always is faint.

I tried giving advice to a girl on tweeter a few days back. She said there is no such thing as love. She scolded me saying I should mind my own business. She said that I have no idea what shit she's been through. We all think that we are alone. Sometimes we are. But most of the time we forget that we have friends. Awesome friends nonetheless. Thank you for being there when I needed you to be. Thank you for saying the right things at the right time. You guys were the light I needed. Thank you for saving me from this abyss.

It's been awhile since I wrote on my blog. I have a target this year that is to reach 100 blog post. I'm so close. But still a long way to go. So with this, I am just one more blog closer to my goal. Today I would like to talk about something quite important. An issue that is always overshadowed by politics and religious. Child abuse.

Child abuse in Malaysia has been on the rise lately. Believe it or not it is actually an offence to abuse a child under the CHILD ACT(2001) and PENAL CODE(revised 1987). The offender can be be fine up to RM50 000 and/or jailed for up to 20 years depending on the severity of the case. Regarding to statistics, it is believe that this is only the tip of the iceberg. Why I hear you ask?? Well a lot of these child abuse cases are actually unseen for lack of people coming forward.

There are four forms of child abuse. Physical, emotional, sexual and neglect. The most common one is neglect. Statistically speaking, unable to support a child's welfare has been the frequent cause of death in children these days. I believe I do not have to elaborate on the other three abuses. One item i would like the reader to know is that most child abuse victim actually knows the abuser. According to data obtained by UNICEF Malaysia, in 2008 a total of 2780 cases were reported. A total of 772 of the offenders were the mothers and another 494 cases are related to the fathers. This is a very frightening.

Did you that you have the power to make a different. You can see it the evolution of the child. Do not look just for cuts and bruises. Try to look for the unobvious. Try to understand the changes on behavior and state of emotion. Try to see if it gets worse. Learn as much as you can on how to see signs and symptoms. Seek advice and assistance when you think you know someone is being abuse. Well I could actually talk a lot more. But I believe you should visit my sources for my advice on this topic. My new Shopping List

Shopping is sometimes a sin. This is due to the existence of greed and advertising companies with ads in magazine. Two entries ago I talked about going shopping as a great stress reliever. It actually is. It's also a great way to exercise for both the shopper and the one following the shopper. It is actually true what some of my friends have said about shopping online. You can't choose a none defect one. And you can't browse. You are limited to the pictures of there is on the website. In the pass years I have done a few online transactions. Some took longer than expected others were same day deliveries, arriving the very next day.

My topic isn't actually having anything to do with either the benefits of shopping or the pros and cons of online shopping. It is actually about my new shopping list. I make a shopping list a few months back so I can keep in track the items I currently want. It actually motivates me to save. Over the past few months the it changed here and there. Like any fickle minded human being I get a few items that I wanted and changed my mind of some of the others.

Here is the current list that hopefully will be bought:-

1)Casio G-Shock RM309

2)Bo Staff RM 90

3)XFX ATI Radeon HD5770 RM500

4)Archery Set RM800

5)Transcend Digital Photo frame RM285

Now I shall explain why I want each of those items. The G-Shock is both an indulgence and a necessity. I could have gone with a cheap one but I needed something enduring and yet flashy. I might probably get myself a cheap one instead. The Bo Staff is just AWESOME!! Nothing Else can explain that. Number 3 is due to the fact that my Nvdia Geforece 8800GTS got fired a few months ago. I need a new one and this one is value for money. RM500 is a bargain for a card with this caliber. Next, an Archery set is my next goal. It's actually a cheaper sport than golf. Way way cheaper. And it's dead fun, if your not hitting your own arm. Last but not least, is a digital photo frame. It's just that the geek inside me really just want's one. It would be so cool.

Continuing on, I have a very long weekend. I mean long. Need to study and stuff. While doing all that I will probably listen to music. One of them will definitely be this one. After I find it of course. It is an Oldie by Billy Joel titled "Only the good die young." It was sung by Puck in Glee in the episode Grilled Cheesus. A great song I might add. The past few weeks has been a really stressful. A lot needed to be done in a limited time. i will probably be staying up for awhile to do my Engineering Economy project report. And I have a lot to do. I mean a hell lot. I know a lot of my friends are stress also especially one of my personal friends. Hopefully when Convo is done she will be her usual self again. You know who you are. ;-)

So what am I gonna talk about today. Simple. Stress. Well more specifically how to relieve it. My own personal way to relieve stress. Some are simple and cheap others are kinda of expansive. So here are the top 5 of my favorite ways to blow of a LOT of steam. enjoy.

5. Computer games.

Some may disagree. Other's may resent me. But games are awesome. My favs are Counter Strike and any other first person shooter. Why?? Shooting aliens and Bad guys are fun. Well you could be more down to earth with games like Civilization and Sims but above all it is a great form of escapism.

4. Buy yourself something.

A lot of people tend to save and keep on saving. They forget that sometimes it's okay to spend on yourself. Go on a shopping spree. Have a budget and make sure you finish it. Take RM100 out of your bank and splurge on a new shoe or bag. It's okay to waste. You could also buy something for someone. It may not be the same but it works. You get to see the joy in someone's face. I was given a beautiful tie by a friend of mine. And I was happy. And I bet she was to. Thanks Ainin. Giving someone something will without a doubt put a smile on your face. Especially if that person is close to you. Being selfless takes a certain courage.

3. Karaoke

Singing is one way to let go of today's problem. If your good, sing in public. If your shy or bad go Karaoking with your friends. Book a room and sing as many songs as you can. Sing "It's my life" and scream at the top of your lungs. Have fun with your friends.

2. Swimming

Exercising is one way to relieve stress. My personal favorite is swimming. Why?? One sports that i'm good at. Beside's, you can live peacefully in your own world. Water and me are one. It's also a soothing sport after a very long long long day.

1. Read a book

Why read a book? Isn't it how we get our stress in the first place? Well yes and no. Don't go reading your text book on your free time. Read a story book of a genre you like. Mine is fantasy. Worlds where honor and courage exist. Why damsels are saved and villains are killed. Where the good guys win against all odds. That to me is the perfect way of escapism.

Well hopefully this will all help cool down a bit of stress that has been accumulated in the pass weeks. Just remember to smile through it all. So until my next blog entry, TTFN.

To be honest with you I have no Idea what to write. I was on a roll but was derailed for awhile due to Test and a Quiz. And I know what you are thinking. Why Love? What are you thinking?? Well it's actually for a contest. The Chronicler has a blog entry and I have to write about Love. I may not be the best person to talk about this topic but everyone is entitled to their opinions right? Sighs... Well lets give it world shall we.

Love is like oxygen. Love is a many splendid thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love. Is what I would say if I believe in it. In what I hear you ask. In love. At this moment it is just a word. Four letters that just mean heart ache and suffering. A word that symbolizes nothing more than just grief for that is what love is in the end. Sadness. For as they say, "All good things must come to an end." That my dear readers also include love.

They say love is a beautiful emotion. Filled with happiness, good memories and gaiety. I believe a whole lot of us know the truth. It is the opposite. It is just an illusion to deceive the weak mind. A dream where very thing will all come crashing in the end for that is the way of the world is it not???

Even in science has it's answer towards love. The presence of Serotonin which is a neurotransmitter that exist at our central nervous system explains the reason why we can only think of the person we are in love with and gives us a kind of obsessive compulsive disorder type of behavior. Oxytocin a hormone that acts as a neurotransmitter for the brain also is the reason why we stay with our 'sweetheart' after the initial 'in love' stage. How it is produce I will not dwell into.

I know there will be hundreds or even thousands of you who were bitten by the love bug will disagree with me on this. You will probably say that it's gonna end happily ever after without regrets or grief. But i believe that the many forms that love takes, it will always end with a heart break. May it be due to misunderstanding or death. Even though with all the fond memories that is made, love has a lot of uncertainties. There are to many factors. To many information that needs to be registered. To keep something going on for the rest of your life and to keep it strong is hard work and dedication. The question we all ask in the end is, "Is it worth it???"

Well, come to think of it,why does love exist in the first place?? Why is it created even though it has all these flaws? I guess in simple terms just to make the world go round. Because can you imagine a world where there is no love. It would a world of chaos and mayhem. Of anger and hatred. Love alone is the reason why we are all not in World War 3. Love has to face with a lot of negative emotions and yet it prevails. That reason alone makes it the most beautiful emotion. That alone makes it worth waking up in the morning to love and be love. So it can be said that it is worth it. The single emotion you should never stop having. After all said and done, I know deep down in my heart that "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return." Sighs... in the end love will always be everyone's heart. May that human be good or bad, it will quietly reside and grow. Love by itself is the power of change.

Well today was a very very very unproductive day. It actually was a very unproductive weekend. A long weekend which the only productive thing that I did was Study 1 chapter for my Economy Eng. quiz on Wednesday. I have a test on Wednesday evening which is 40% of my coursework mark which I need to perform that I have only browse through. I have a lot to do in the next couple of days. Sighs... I should not have procrastinated right?? TT__TT

There is some good news for today. The cards that I ordered 3 weeks ago finally reached. The deck that I wanted to test for my FNM is finally here. Sadly, the cards or the deck in fact has to be move to the Extended category. Huhu~~ Could not use it against some cool decks. But I had a test run with it and it was AWESOME!!! Once the Pyromancer Ascension hits 2 counter it's go time. Search for Time Warp and game over. After playing the deck a couple of times, I came to a realization. I'm gonna do a blog dedicated to my journey on Magic: The Gathering. This idea is also due a close friend of mine who decided to make a blog about her guitar. :-P

Another topic i would like to address to is the "Blog of Note" section at your dashboard (if you use blogger). I was browsing a down it and I read a few. One I particular like is located at the blogs I keep tabs section on the right hand side of this entry. Another caught my I because it was a normal blog. It was about a retired Navy Submariner who bought 6 horses. And it's a story of how he trains them and other stuff. If he can get there why can't I. Hey, you guys from blogger I want to be there also. If you guys are reading this pretty please put me there. :-)

I would like to share with you an interesting song as my entry for today. It is actually quite a funny song. The original song uses F*** you instead of forget you. So technically this is the edited kids version of the song. I actually don't have to say much for the lyrics speak themselves. It's about a girl the guy loved going with someone else. Well this song was introduce to me by a close friend. Hopefully you will enjoy this song as much as I did. Or at least it would put a small smile on your face.

On another note, I've been doing a lot of thinking. About Magic:The Gathering. About my life. About the obstacle ahead. About my internship. There is a lot of things that need to be done and sadly I feel like there is not enough time to do all that. I have a lot of regrets in my life. In time I will fix each and everyone of them or at the least come to terms with it. Life is short right. And no matter what it still goes on. The sun would still set tomorrow. The Moon will still rise to guide the sailors home. All we can do is prepare for tomorrow. Come with turns of yesterday. And Live in the moment. Hopefully, I myself can accept those words. I had a great day today. Went out with Shanny and Hui Chie today. I personally thought it was gonna be 2-3 hours trip. Go to McD. Go to Pcdepot. Go to Yik Fong than head home. Turned out to be a long awesome and expansive trip. After Yik Fong we headed to Jusco to have a Karaoke session at K-Box. Rm 8 for 2 hours per person is a bargain. And they had new songs like Telephone, Innocence and My life would suck without you. They also have Japanese songs but none that I know off. Afterwards, we ate at this awesome Japanese restaurant. Thanu and Ainin if your reading this I'll take you there one day.

Today I will talk about adverts. Why?? Two reason. First, Shanny wanted me to post the other Avril Lavinge Canon advertisement. The other reason is to share with you something interesting adverts. Including the Nike advert above. Well the other one is another Canon advert but with Maria Sharapova. Her saying "Make every shot a power shot," is sizzling. The last video is also a Nike ad with Roger Federer. I hope you enjoy those videos.

I just got back from tuning my bffg's guitar. A quick simple job thanks to the invention of the electronic tuner. It would take me hours if i need to tune by ear. Not that good yet. Well after tuning the guitar, I showed Ainin (Thanks for the Apple) the new song I learnt, Stand By Me. This song has a soft spot in my heart. Nobody can deny it's meaning. It is performed by Ben E. King originally and has a few other rendition's including my favourite by Timon and Pumba which I have place below for your viewing pleasure.

To be honest it was not a productive day. Had a lot of spare time but did nothing. Sighs... I need to get a move on. I did do my weekend checklist and designed a deck. As well as started playing Dota again. I still suck. Can't even perform with my favorite characters. Thank God for MS (my guitars name). Now I'm currently learning to play the Star War theme song. Hopefully can play by next week. I still have a lot on my mind. I can't sort them out but I'll try to do it one thing at a time. When I do, it'll finally be a new day in this new month. If you are one of my close friends, you would have notice that i've been kinda down lately. For reasons that I will not state I am kinda on the down low. So I hid from the world of FB and restarted twitter. I forgot about the inspirational quotes there is on Twitter. I found this one quote about being happy. It goes like this "Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."

Well there a lot of things left to do in this world. Restart my Blog. Life is beautiful. It should be filled with colors and hope. I've also started to do two things that i've put up for so long. My guitar (well actually my sis) is starting to sounds like i'm playing. Tabs are awesome. A great oldies song but I seriously hope I can learn to strum properly. Then I can actually play songs like "Hey Soul Sister" and "Love story." The other thing I'm learning to do is getting my Japanese done. And Hopefully I can cut one thing of my to do list. Mark my words, I will finish it. And then I shall learn French.

The future is an interesting thing. It is never certain but it comes one day at a time. Who would have thought that Moon Landings were possible (I still believe it's a hoax). Who would have thought that our Personal Computers of today can actually launch a rocket into space if we wanted it to do so. Who would have thought that hand phones will be used by everyone and will become a vital part of our lives. William Allan White once said, "I am not afraid of tomorrow. For I have seen yesterday and love today." He is right. We should not be. There are a lot of possibilities still left in this world.

Today I would like to share one possibility of the future which I hope will come true. A device that only our time can see. If they decide to execute this porject which is only a concept at the moment, I will definitely get my hands on it. After the second generation comes out anyway. Enough about me talking. My Favorite SOM card...

Today's entry will be on a happier note. I attended my second Pre-Release and 5th official DCI sanctioned Magic: The Gathering Tournament last Sunday. What an event that was. I came an hour late and did not have the mood to build a proper 40 card deck. So I just put together what I had to make a barely usable deck which got my arse whooped twice and won 1 game (thanks to my friend). Hopefully my ratings go up a bit.

Well today I would actually like to talk about my favorite card in the Scars of Mirrodin block. This is actually a Block I did not like and made me stop playing for awhile until Ravinica came out. But after realizing it is actually fun to play competitively i decided to delve back into the charge. With over 200 cards to choose from it wasn't easy to pick. I could have chosen one of the 3 planeswalkers available but everyone would have. Each costing more than RM150, who would not want one??? So I came to decide on the Release Parties Foil card: Steel Hellkite.

In my eyes this card is legendary. Why I hear you ask?? Firstly, there are very few dragons around that are white. The top of my mind would be Yosei from Kamigawa. Why is white important I hear you ask even though the creature is colorless?? Well, my idea is to exploit the second ability as another form of Day of Judgement effect. It is also a creature that defend as well as wipe the field clean. It is thus suitable in my mind to be in a Blue-White control deck that does not require a lot of creatures. Although the Sun Titan can't summon it back it would still be threat that has to be dealt with. There is another wicked card that I have a soft spot for. Skithiriyx, The Blight Dragon is a great card to have in an Infect deck with Hand of Praetors it would rain devastation just because when you play an infect deck an opponent only has 10 lives. That is just devious if you ask me.

This is an article I should have written a long time ago. Maybe the date said otherwise but the truth is that it is written a month after My Grandfather pass away. I'm just gonna finish this tribute to a great man. I remember the last visit I had to Kuala Lumpur 2 weeks before this. I remember him giving me two kopiah's to take back home to uni because I couldn't decide which to bring. I remember him greeting me "Who are you??" every time I visit him. He would never say no if we wanted to order McD at night just to fill our cravings of Chocolate Sundae.

A lot has happen since that day, personally i think i'm a wreck. I have to many issues to deal with. People say i'm weak. Maybe they are right I am. I have more failure's than success. I can't keep my emotions. I even lost a best friend (even though she would never say the same thing about me) just because i keep my emotions bottle up. She will never know how important she is to someone. I am truly lost. Where do I go from here?? Every road seems to lead to a dead end. No where. Just an empty abyss. I'm truly afraid of what lies ahead.

The last time I wrote about change it was on Taylor Swift's song. A motivational one to say the least. Today I would like to introduce a song from the anime Bleach. My new Standard Deck:- Liliana's Fury

Hello my fellow friends. Another week has begun and I'm kinda excited. Because of what??? I'm heading to K.L for a PC Fair at KLCC and my awesome BFFG is having a show in Dewan Philharmonic Petronas. She'll be doing 3 show's one for each day. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's gonna be LEGEND. Wait for it. Keep waiting. DARY!!! LEGENDARY!!! All the best to her and hopefully "The Force is strong with this one." Sadly I won't be able to attend an FNM to pratice my new deck that I built. A Modification of the Burning Caress deck that was on the Building on a Budget column on MTG Daily. So that will be today's blog entry.

This new deck revolves around the Liliana cards. They are the mighty Planeswalker herself, Liliana Vess, Liliana's Specter and Liliana Caress.. The simply idea is to empty the opponents hand. While the hand is being emptied, he or she will slowly lose life bit by boring brick.. And well if that doesn't stop him/her I got a Specter that grows from a 2/2 to 5/5 creature that can fly over defenses and lightning bolt to strike them down from a far. People would prefer to want and use cards like Jace Beleren and Garruk Wildspeaker. Even Chandra Nalar is mostly used compare to Liliana Vess. But it is undeniably she is a usable card and I'm gonna prove that. Discard's Deck are still in the house. =D

What up my reader's. How's everything with you?? To those who are just back in Uni, life sucks right?? To those who are still on holiday, you lucky bastard's (or bitches)?? To those who were at MTV Worldstage, Whatever.... On my end life is emmm... Interesting to say the least. It is both up and down. Left and right. Confuse and approaching DEFCON 1. Oh well, life goes on right. There is no way to cry over spilled milk or some other stuff.

Now on to more important matters like my new Fat Pack That I bought a few hours ago. It has been four years since I was last interested in Magic: The Gathering. I bought a Coldsnap Fat Pack that has technically evolved or downvovled. The one I just bought just have 8 booster packs, a box, a life counter, a stack of land and an excerpt of a new book coming out. And it's only RM100. The one I bought a few years back was slightly better. First 2 boxes. 2 huge boxes. And Dividers. Dividers for your cards. And it's for free. They also gave a free book with it. A full book not an excerpt of a chapter. Even though it was RM30 more. I kinda think that was better.

This will be a very short entry because I am furious. Very very furious at how the movie turned out to be. It is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very

very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very disappointing. I a can not say anything good about the movie actually. I am pissed at how an epic cartoon can be made into crap. Garbage. How on God's green earth could he have done that. How could M. Night Shaymalan make it into a dissapointing movie. Please. Please get someone else to write the script for the next two movie's. Please don't run this epic story into the ground. I beg of you.

So onwards to my review. First and foremost it has become a movie with monologues. With scene's and Katara having to talk through out the movie. Aang is no longer the happy go lucky guy we know. The dialogues are cheesy and crap and honestly I could have done better. I am happy with the choice of actors for General Iroh and Crown Prince Zuko. Zhao in the movie brags a lot. Especially about some great library (which we never see). And the other thing i'm unhappy is no Roku. Roku is an essential part of the story. What the hell is with the Dragon spirit. It is suppose to be Roku!!! And the firelord is not suppose to be seen until Book Three. So why do we know he exist. And we aren't suppose to know his sister till the next one. The other thing i'm furious is the development of the characters. They are like robots and bland.

Okay enough about the things I hate. Let's talk about the few things I like. The scene of the Blue spirit and Aang fighting together is kinda nice even though it's a bit messy. And emmm... What else?? I think that's the only thing I like it. Sighs... Very very disappointed. The verdict is 3 out 10.

Invictus

Well there goes the second day of my 3rd year 1 semester. It was quick and short but still sweet and sour at the same time. Why sour you ask? No apparent reason I just felt like it was a catchy thing to say really. It was better in my head actually. Continuing on, I would like to discuss the topic of the above title. "Invictus" is actually a famous poem written by William Ernet Henley. Why is it famous. It was a poem that gave strength to Mandela when he was in prison all those year.

"Invictus" is also a title of a movie starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. It tell's the story of South Africa's first Rugby World Cup and how they went all they way beating power nations such as New Zealand and Australia. It is the story of how sports and a victory can bring a nation that has been divided by years of Apartheid. Before the first game, President Mandela (played by Morgan Freeman) gave the poem "Invictus" to the Captain of the South Africa Rugby Team (played by Matt Damon). It is a very inspiring movie to watch for the young generation who think they are the center of the universe. For those who have no idea what has happen before they were even born yet. The verdict is 8 out 10.

Okay back to the poem. It is powerful stuff. It talks about self mastery. We are in control of our on fate and destiny. I believe you should interpret yourself. Here is the poem that kept Mandela strong:-

Well I'm already back in uni. Another 4 month's of studying, assignment's, quizzes and heartbreaks. Hopefully it just won't be dull. Before I talk about the topic above, I would just like to announce my ranking for the DCI Magic: the Gathering tournament's I've entered. In Malaysia I'm 923. In the world 247292 and in the Asia Pacific Region I'm 15636. That is quite emmm... something. Well to enter the National's with a free invitation I need to be the top 75. I have a long long way to go.Oh well, I have 9 month's to go. =D

Okay, on to the topic I would like to discuss. The current Firelord of the Fire Nation, Saviour of the world, Bane of Azula and Nephew of the Great General Iroh, FIRELORD ZUKO. He was the antagonist of the first season where all he wanted to do was capture the Avatar. In season two he has an internal turmoil that tears him up between his loyalty to his father and his love to his Uncle. And in season three (My favorite season ever) we see what he decide's to do. He become's the men that decide's the fate of the a nation. He become's the men he need's to be. He become's a hero.

It is stated that the story of Zuko is similar to that of Buddha. I have no idea how that story goes. All I know is Zuko and I are alike in a few levels. The first is our internal turmoil. We both have unresolved issue's that we don't talk about. We struggle to define who we are and even with guidance from a mentor we still end up doing the wrong thing. The second is that we are both angry. Angry at what?? At ourselves. And Lastly is that we both have friends we trust in. And for that we are grateful. We also know that when everything fall's in place we will excel. We will become the best at what we are meant to be.

Well enough of emotional stuff. The movie The Last Airbender is coming out on the 5th of August. Hopefully the 3D is coming out in Ipoh. Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire plays the part and hopefully he pulls it of. If not I'm gonna be pissed. So until next time TTFN.

Inception :The review

So to cheer my friend and I at a disappointing day in the National's, we caught a late night movie at 10.30pm in Jusco Kinta City. It was Inception. One word to describe it: EPIC. Wait there's another word to describe it: MINDBLASTING. And one more for the road: LEGENDARY. Honestly it was one of those movie that really put you at the edge of your seats. If you have not gone and watch it I suggest you do it know.

The plot (which i hope that I wont reveal much) is Leonardo's character is tasked with having a job that would enable him to go back to the states to see his kids. But he can't do the job alone and needs some help from an Architect, a thief, an Alchemist and his friend who I think has a security role or something. That's all I'm revealing folks. The characters that play each role are fun to watch. Even though Ellen Page is the only female character that is cute.

The movie as a whole has some questionable stuff. The early part of the movie will be a blur for most Malaysian's cause if you are curious enough you are bombarded with ton's of question you want answered to. The topic of surrealism and and reality are discussed in this movie and it would be a good movie for those who love "The Matrix." One piece of advice about the movie. It is not one of those that you can have a toilet break, chat with your friends about a n explosion or chat about how cute the chick sitting next to you is. It requires a lot of attention. Hopefully this advice is Incepted into you. Verdict: 9 out of 10. So until next time, TTFN.

My First National Qualifier: The Results

Well my fellow readers, Yesterday was my first ever National Qualifier's. After picking up the game or hobby I have left four years ago and using a deck that is only worth around Rm250 to go head to head with players who have time and money to refine their decks it was a learning experience. And for your information, I did not go into the fray alone. I had Backup. Yes, my partner in crime is none other than, Syafiq M. Khairan. and sorry. His picture should be below here and I have not mastered how to reposition the picture's yet. Please forgive me. =D

So back to my coverage of my 4th official DCI sanctioned tournament and first Qualifiers in anything I've done. There 5 rounds of competition and thanks to a considerably low attendance it was reassuring that we would still get 2 booster's even though we were last. Thanks fully both of us weren't. So my first round I was against a Blue-White control deck that felt like FOREVER. Mr Panda guy (which I refer to him as) thought me the definition of control. And it really does seem like a stable deck to make eventhough it's bloody expansive thanks to Jace Beleran. The second and third round I went up against a Jund deck (Red-Black-Green) I was able to hold my ground by winning my second round and losing my third by a mere 4 life. Such a disappointing moment.

As the fourth round started I knew i was not gonna qualify for the final 8 so i just prayed that I would hold my own for the last two rounds. I went up against another Blue-White Control deck. This time it was not enduring but reveal the true flaws in my deck which I would have liked to address earlier. And I still lost. At this moment due to the odd number of players, I was praying for a bye (which was given to my brother in arms-so not fair) . So the last game of my qualifiers I was up against a mono-Red deck that had Leyline of Punishment. Talk about bad luck. So I was cut in pieces. Lightning Bolt by Lightning Bolt. Sighs....

So a lot was learnt that day. Two of them are Budget decks are budget decks and never ever use a mono colour deck for an important tournament. To Pick me up from such a loss, we had RotiBoy, KFC and watched Inception (Which I will review in my next entry). So until next time peep's, TTFN.

Tomorrow is the big day. My personal D-day. Personally. I am not an ambitious person. I have a scholarship and I'm just scraping through. Well it kinda happen's when u just accept things as it is. When you feel powerless and believe that you have no control over what happens to your life. That is not true btw. Trust me, "The power is in your hands."

So D-day approaches, I'm finalizing my deck I'm using. To most of the reader's, I know that most of you will not have a clue what it is I'm writing. In simple lay men terms, my deck is a mono white deck. It is simply "Equip and Swing." And fill with cheap creature's and equipment to help hit hard, hit often and hit quickly. Predator (2010)

Today was an interesting day. It was technically my chore day. In summary went to the bank to bank in my years of syilings which I have accumulated. It was Rm 40 in the end. Went to get my watch fixed and get a haircut. Bought tics to Ipoh for the weekend. And catch a movie. Yes. yes. watching a movie is not a chore but still i was able to slip that in. So I believe you already guessed what movie I catched. The Predator.

Well the story is simple. A bunch of ruthless killers, may it be soldiers or convicts, are chosen to be prey to three higher class Predators. Yes. Higher class. There is another more lethal more bigger Predator species. This species makes the original predator look tamed. Enough about that. As the group tries to figure out who their facing they meet a survivor who has survived 10 rounds this grueling test or hell. Whichever way you look at it. He is in fact Laurence Fishburne. In fact I have a bone to pick with Mr Fishburne.

The great Morpheuos and the Silver Surfer plays this Air Cav soldier whose having dementia and all messed up. He wasn't the heroic person i thought he would be. And His screen time was only about 10 mins before he was blown to bits. And for a person who can find only limited food. He kinda looks fat. Sorry to say that Mr Fishburne. The other cast I'm okay with even that weird little doctor fellow. Even though the lead played by Adrian Brody is speaking some very deep accent he kinda is like a lone wolf character which the other's will in the end trust.

Overall the movie was acceptable. No over the top CGI. A lot of explosions. And some unanswered question's. I am in fact looking forward to it's sequel and that the hero and heroine will get off the planet and head back home. I give it a 7 out of 10. A guy movie with some suspense but a lot of explosions. My fellow leaders. it is official. after a grueling 120 minutes of football, Spain is the new World Champion!!! With a superb goal by Iniesta and great Goalkeeping by Casillas, they did it. Sad to say to Holland who have not yet broken the curse of the best team to have never won the World Cup. To tell you the truth I only watched about 58 mins of it. Than I fell asleep. Watched the replay though and it was epic. So the next one up is Euro 2012. Hopefully Spain will defend their title well. All the best you Spainards.

Enough about the world cup. One month of the vuvu thingy is enough. So so annoying. Eventhough it is part of South Africa. Noe lets talk to my second Sanctioned DCI tournamnet. The Magic 2011 Pre-Release Tournament. And. I lost. TT__TT The first session. I didn't finish the second session because I had to go to Midvalley to meet up with my bff's. And boy did i have fun. We watched an epic movie titled "Despicable Me." Starring Steve Carrell and Katy Perry's future Husband. Forgot his name. And it was Hilarious. Seriously you should catch it if you can. We also had dinner at this nice restaurant with an epic dessert called Mango Sago Loco. Thanks Ainin, Suresh and Thanu for an awesome evening. Can't wait to see your guys in a few weeks time.

Last but not least is my coming National Qualifiers of 2010 this weekend in Ipoh. I believe my deck has a chance a minuet chance of winning or even going all the way. Even though my deck is lacking a few cards that hopefully i'm getting on Saturday. And I realized that putting in 2 Sun Titans into the deck actually makes it a great last resort card.
